Janice Snyder
Town Council Candidate
Janice Snyder moved to South Windsor over 36 years ago after marrying her husband, Mark. They raised two sons in South Windsor who both attended South Windsor public schools. Today, they enjoy spending time with their granddaughters Leah (4 years old) and Aubrey (2 years old).
Janice has over 41 years experience in government and public administration as a Manager in Purchasing, Inventory, and Asset Management for the CT Department of Transportation. She has served in various roles as a town official. Janice has been active in local town leadership spending 10 years on the Town Council, (one as Deputy Mayor), preceded by 14 years service on the Board of Education (4 years as Chair). Janice has served on countless committees, most recently serving as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, which presented a new Strategic Plan for the Town that was adopted by the Town Council in July 2023.
She believes South Windsor deserves elected representatives who are making informed decisions making a positive impact on our community with a kind, welcoming, and collaborative approach.
Janice is committed to support education, keep South Windsor a vibrant community, maintain a high quality of life and control spending.
